Get Ready!
Start getting ready for pups! Pick up date is coming up soon! Pups are eating Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy food and will be using this food till 6 months, depending. The best food and water dishes are the stainless steel ones. If you do not have a crate yet consider where you will be placing it and what type ie plastic or wire. Plastic crates can be very hot in ths summer even in your house. Size is very important and you may need two ie one for early days and a full size crate for adult. If you will be needing an X-Pen in your kitchen when you are not there you will need a high one as they grow fast and may try to jump it. Pups are used to pee pads on a metal or plastic base for further house training when you are not there but paper works fine too. You can buy rolls of paper ,,better and much cleaner than newsprint. More pics to follow later today!

More Pics 4 17
The two above pics are no mark girl . But soon to be Purple Girl as the velcro pup collars just arrived today. The pics below may show Purple and Orange...Orange was no mark boy. See the box below. You have seen it before but turned the other way, to the pups this was something totally new and they had to explore it one at a time as turned on end there was only room for one pup at a time. They have just had their last munchies for the day and now have clean bedding and some of their toys and will fall asleep soon. They sleep through the night but Ingrid is still getting in there with them but not as much. In the am they want their food and they want it now and they let me know!!

The girls profile shots were taken right after they had some mushy food so their little faces were still wet.

and Yellow Boy below
I am getting some "new collars" with velcro closing to adjust for growth so in the future the two "no mark" pups will have a color..how about purple for the girl and silver for the boy?
Something else was added to the pups' repertoire today; they each had a few minutes to check out the floor in the adjoining room with no other puppies and just me. it was interesting to see their reactions a. to being alone and b. to being in a different environment. Tomorrow is another day.
All for now!

Puppies Learn New Things
It is still friday but I had some time to take more pics. The size of their pen is new and a new "toy" had been added..a paper towel empty roll. It is lightweight and they like to pick it up and carry it. Also cut some shorter pieces of it for the same use. Green boy was the first to pick it up and carry it ie the short piece, I like to add something new every day. Also in their pen is a ball the size of a tennis ball and looks like on but is not an actual one as they have a nasty covering which can be harmful,.,this one was designed for dogs..good thing for you to know. Pink girl rolled the ball and tried to pick it up but it is a tad too big to pick up just yet. All pups are drinking water from a bowl and all are eating mushy food with a bit of goat's milk added. They have learned quickly to use the bathroom area with few mistakes so far. Here are the pics.
